Chapter 4
The three of them arrived at a café.
When they took their seats, Qin Moyan deliberately pulled the chair out for Ye Xinuo.
The waiter asked, ‘May I take your order?’
‘Ladies first,’ Ding Qi said.
Without consulting Ye Xinuo, Qin Moyan said gently, ‘Xinuo, half-sweet latte, and I’ll have an Americano, please.’
Ding Qi said, ‘I’ll have an espresso, please.’
Ye Xinuo’s brows furrowed as soon as Qin Moyan finished ordering. Realising this, she quickly glanced out of the window without making a move, adjusting her facial expression.
The fog in her heart grew thicker and thicker. After all was said and done, she had only known Qin Moyan for two short days, so how did the other person know her coffee preferences? The most plausible explanation was that this person had investigated her. If that was the case, Qin Moyan was even more terrifying than she had imagined, able to do everything perfectly in every situation.
Thinking about this, Ye Xinru tried to remember her past life. Qin Moyan and her had never been close enough for her to order food for her, and she had been in a daze when she first took over the company, so she had no way of knowing how well Qin Moyan knew her.
‘I didn’t realize that you two were also here for the artificial intelligence forum. What a coincidence,’ Ding Qi’s words interrupted Ye Xinru’s thoughts.
Forcing herself to quickly put aside the mess in her head, Ye Xinruo laughed and said, ‘I know nothing about artificial intelligence. It was Mo who insisted on dragging me along. You two should have more to talk about.’
Seeing that Ye Xinruo had thrown the ball back to him, Qin Moyan said frankly, ‘Artificial intelligence is the major trend of the future. I’m a businessman, so naturally I won’t let go of any opportunity to make money.’
Ye Xinuo really couldn’t guess what was going on in Qin Moyan’s mind. She thought that Qin Moyan was pretending to be her boyfriend in order to not seem eager for success and to lower Ding Qi’s guard, but she didn’t expect this person to come straight to the point after just a few words. In that case, there was no need to go to all this trouble.
Ding Qi smiled lightly and said, ‘I believe Miss Qin also knows that many investors have approached me before, but they all had different ideas from mine.’
